Looking towards Oxwich from Three Cliffs
Travelling further into Gower you will come across an ancient "gate house" where there is a turning to Oxwich.  The views as you decend the hill and travel along the salt marshes are beautiful.  Oxwich village has some lovely thatched cottages along its narrow roads, but the biggest draw is the beach itself.  Oxwich Bay is a vast expanse of sand, bordered by sand dunes and a National Nature Reserve, and has a large car park bordering the beach.  Boats can be launched from Oxwich and kite flying, windsurfing and jet skiing are popular activites.

It is an ideal day out for families with children who don't enjoy walking far to the beach, and is great for walking the dog on cold winter afternoons.
