Three Cliffs Bay is one of the most photographed beaches in the UK, and was a finalist in the BBC TV series “Britain’s Favourite View” having been presented by talented local girl and now world-known, Katherine Jenkins. It is a truly magnificent bay which will please everyone as it incorporates valley, countryside, river, wildlife, history and of course the sandy beach itself.

Travelling further into Gower you will come across an ancient "gate house" where there is a turning to Oxwich. The views as you decend the hill and travel along the salt marshes are beautiful. Oxwich village has some lovely thatched cottages along its narrow roads, but the biggest draw is the beach itself.

Rhossili Bay / Worms Head |

Just 10 miles from the accommodation is the spectacular Rhossili Bay and Worms Head beyond. Park in the National Trust car park and enjoy a stroll along the cliff tops. You can walk out to the Worms Head, but the causway is tidal and can be extremely dangerous, so take advice from the local coastguard, situated on the cliffs, before embarking on your trip.

Pobbles Bay is a hidden part of Three Cliffs Bay which can be easily accessed at low tide by simply walking around the Three Cliffs themselves. When the tide is in, Pobbles can be reached by walking along footpaths and boardwalks on the top of the cliffs, or from Brunswick Drive near Pennard Golf Club. |
