Terms and Conditions
Our cottages and apartment are strictly no smoking. Smoking outside the rear of the cottages or in the garden of the apartment is permitted. Flouting this requirement could result in you being asked to leave the property early.
Dogs are welcome but we ask that they are not allowed on the stairs & upstairs on the carpeted areas in the cottages, in the carpeted hallway or bedrooms in the apartment, and do not jump on or sleep on the furniture. We reserve the right to charge for damage caused.
Please bring your own dog basket or blanket and food bowl for thier comfort. You may want to bring an old towel too incase they get muddy while out walking.
Whilst outside space is limited at the cottages themselves, there are woods directly opposite and plenty of areas that dogs can be "exercised".
The apartment garden runs along the rear of the cottages. We ask that consideration is given to our cottage guests and that noise levels are kept to a minimum by all garden users. Please be considerate if playing ball games.
Whilst we do not accept hen & stag parties, if you are a same sex group of friends, please make sure we are aware of this when booking. We would ask that the party leader sign a damage disclaimer upon arrival. Any damage caused will be charged for.
Bed linen is provided, but towels are not. Towels can be booked for a fee of £3 per person where required. Please indicate when booking if you require towels. Water and electric is included in the price of your stay.
Logs - during winter, logs will be provided, but not replenished. If you require more logs than have been supplied, they can be purchased locally. This applies to the apartment only.
An iron and table-top ironing board is provided in the cottages / iron and ironing board in the apartment. Hairdryers can be borrowed from Shepherds shop on arrival at no charge (returnable deposit applies)
Travel cots and cot bed linen for infants under 3 can be provided at no cost. Please indicate on the booking form whether you need one. Plastic plates, bowls and cups are provided for children's use.
We accept that accidents will happen, so we operate an "honesty policy" and ask that any breakages be paid for at £1 per item - we ask that you leave the money in the cottage / apartment with a note so that we know what has been broken so we can replace it for the next guests.
Please do not remove cutlery and crockery, tin openers, towels, bedding etc from the cottage. Items missing will be charged for.
Car parking - 2 car park passes will be issued per property. Any additional cars will be asked to pay the normal daily car parking rate at Shepherds.
We have tried to ensure that the cottages and apartment are as comfortable as we can make them, but would ask that if there is anything specific you would like to enable you to enjoy you stay more, that you let us know in advance.
You can book on-line using our secure paying system, via e-mail or by phone. A deposit of 50% is required when the booking is at least 4 weeks in advance. If you are booking within 4 weeks, then the full amount is required please. Guests are contacted around 4 weeks prior to their arrival and asked to pay the balance.
To Book On-Line:
If booking on-line, please simply click the “Book Now” page, select the date you require, enter the number of days you would like to stay 7 or 14 and complete the details as instructed. Unfortunately you cannot book short breaks on line. You can confirm your booking immediately by using the secure on-line payment facility to send your deposit via PayPal. Please note that using American Express on Paypal may incurr an extra charge as they convert the amount into US Dollars.
Once you have entered your credit card details via the Pay Pal screen you will receive a confirmation e-mail. The balance will be due 4 weeks prior to your holiday. We shall send an e-mail as a reminder and you can choose how to pay the balance - by card over the phone or by sending a cheque.

Simply call us on 01792 371538 or 07766 477308. We will confirm whether the dates you require are available. You will need to send your deposit cheque by post or provide your credit card details for us to process via Card-Net. Confirmation will be provided by e-mail where possible, or post. Again, a reminder will be sent for the balance.
Please note that no contract shall exist until a deposit of 50% is received.
Should you need to change your booking once your deposit is paid, we will endeavour to assist, but please bear in mind that changes cannot be guaranteed. A change of date may need to be treated as a cancellation of one booking and the making of another.
If you need to cancel your booking, then provided you do so more than 4 weeks prior to your arrival date a full refund will be given, provided we are able to re-let the property. We will keep you informed and you can check the website on the availability section. If you cancel within 4 weeks, or do not pay the balance owed when due, then we will be unable to refund your deposit, and your booking will be null and void.
To keep any period of uncertainty to a minimum, where possible, we would ask you to communicate with us by phone.
